Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with moderate to very severe COPD (known as GOLD stage II, III, or IV)
- Your condition is currently stable and not in a period of sudden worsening
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years old
- You have an allergy or intolerance to any ingredients in the study product
- You are unwilling or unable to stop taking vitamin D or fatty acid (fish oil/omega-3 type) supplements during the study

- You have been diagnosed within the last year with a brain or stroke-related condition (such as a stroke, brain bleed, brain tumour, or mini-stroke)
- You have a medical condition that seriously affects your digestion or gut function (confirm with trial site)
For Healthy Volunteers:
Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your lung function test results show a healthy breathing capacity (confirm with trial site for specific measurements)
- You are currently in good, stable health
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years old
- The study doctor has concerns about your ability to follow the study requirements, or you have a serious or unstable illness (such as active cancer being treated)
- You are currently in another clinical study, or have been in one within the last four weeks
- You have a terminal illness
- You have been admitted to hospital in the last four weeks
- You have taken antibiotics in the last four weeks
- You have had lung cancer within the last five years
