Who might be able to join this trial:

For patients:

• Children or teenagers aged between 6 and 18 years old
• Both boys and girls are eligible
• You have a long-term health condition, or are receiving a treatment, that is known to affect muscle mass, muscle function, metabolism, or body composition
• You are already an active patient at the Clermont-Ferrand hospital centre
• Both the patient and their parent or legal guardian have given their free and informed agreement to take part
• You are covered by the French social security system

For healthy volunteers (controls):

• Children or teenagers aged between 6 and 18 years old
• Both boys and girls are eligible
• Both the patient and their parent or legal guardian have given their free and informed agreement to take part
• You are covered by the French social security system

Who may not be able to join:

For patients:

• You have received steroid medication (taken throughout the body, not just locally) for more than 1 week during the 30 days before the test
• You have a medical reason that means you cannot safely do physical activity or exercise
• You currently have an active infection

For healthy volunteers (controls):

• You have a medical reason that means you cannot safely do physical activity or exercise
• You have a long-term health condition that could affect muscle mass, muscle function, metabolism, or body composition
• You are taking any medication that could affect your metabolism
• You currently have an active infection
