Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer, confirmed by a laboratory test on tissue samples.
  • People whose PSA levels have risen on more than one test to above 0.2 ng/mL but no higher than 1.0 ng/mL after having their prostate surgically removed (this is called biochemical recurrence).
  • People who are generally active and able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (rated 0 or 1 on a standard health scale used by doctors).
  • People whose recent blood test results (within the last 6 months) show healthy enough levels of infection-fighting cells, platelets, and red blood cells.

  • People whose recent liver function test results (within the last 6 months) fall within an acceptable range.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have a visible or measurable returning tumour in the area where the prostate was removed.
  • People whose cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (distant metastasis).
  • People whose cancer has spread to lymph nodes in the pelvis.
  • People who have previously had radiation treatment to the pelvic area.
  • People who have previously been treated for prostate cancer using cryotherapy (freezing the tumour) or brachytherapy (internal radiation).
  • People who have had a second, separate type of cancer, other than skin or thyroid cancer.
  • People who have another serious health condition alongside their prostate cancer (confirm with trial site).
