Who might be able to join this trial:
- You can be male or female, of any race
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must currently be an active participant enrolled in the Knight Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) at Washington University
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had an allergic reaction or sensitivity to the imaging agent called PIB (a substance used in brain scans) or any of its ingredients
- You have a reason why you cannot safely have a PET scan, CT scan, or MRI — for example, having certain electronic medical devices in your body, or being unable to lie still for an extended period of time
- You experience severe claustrophobia (strong fear of enclosed spaces)
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have any health condition that, in the opinion of the study doctor, could put you at greater risk, make it hard for you to complete the study procedures, or affect the results of the research (confirm with trial site)
- You have taken part in another clinical trial involving an active study drug or placebo within the past 30 days before your scan, or within 2 weeks after your imaging visit
- You have recently taken part in other research studies involving radiation, and the total amount of radiation you would receive in a single year from all research studies combined would exceed the limits set by U.S. federal regulations (confirm with trial site)
