Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer confirmed by imaging, and your cancer tests negative for estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2 (sometimes called "triple-negative" breast cancer) at stage II or III
- Doctors estimate you are likely to live more than 3 months
- You have at least one area of cancer that can be measured by scans or physical exam
- You are generally able to carry out normal daily activities (assessed using a standard health score of 70 or above on a doctor's scale)
- Your blood tests, liver and kidney function, and heart reading (ECG) are within normal or near-normal ranges
- You are between 18 and 70 years old
Who may not be able to join:
- Your breast cancer has spread to the bones or other distant parts of the body (stage IV)
- You have serious kidney problems
- You are an older adult with serious heart or lung disease, and your doctor does not think you could handle chemotherapy
- You have already received cancer treatment
- You started a pre-surgery chemotherapy plan but it did not work after 2 rounds and you switched to a different treatment or stopped chemotherapy
- You have a history of any other type of cancer
- You have serious heart, liver, or kidney problems, or poor overall health that means you cannot tolerate chemotherapy, or you have already switched to a different type of treatment
- You have a mental health or neurological condition that would make it difficult to follow the treatment plan
- You have an intolerance to the steroid medication dexamethasone, or a strong allergy to any of the chemotherapy drugs used in this trial
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are already taking part in another clinical trial
