Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 16 and 70 years old
- You have been diagnosed with mild or moderate active Crohn's disease, based on a specific disease activity score (confirm with trial site)
- You have tried at least one standard medication (such as mesalazine, steroids, immune-suppressing drugs, or anti-TNF treatments) but it did not work for you, you could not tolerate it, you became dependent on it, or you chose not to use it

- You have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder
- You are currently taking antibiotics, probiotics, traditional Chinese herbal medicines, or other long-term medications that could affect the trial results
- You have serious conditions outside the gut related to Crohn's disease, such as certain skin conditions, eye conditions, or blood clotting disorders
- You have serious bowel complications such as a fistula, abscess, narrowing or blockage of the bowel, bleeding, or a hole in the bowel
- You have had abdominal or bowel surgery in the past 6 months, or you have short bowel syndrome
- You have a skin condition or wound in the areas of the body where acupuncture would be performed
