Who might be able to join this trial:
- People scheduled for planned (non-emergency) surgery for a popliteal artery aneurysm (a bulge in an artery behind the knee) that is not causing symptoms
- People scheduled for planned surgery for peripheral artery disease (reduced blood flow in the arteries of the legs)
- People whose surgery will be open surgery (not keyhole or minimally invasive)
- People who experience leg cramping or pain when walking (known as intermittent claudication)
- People who have pain in their legs while at rest, or very minor tissue damage
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have significant difficulties with thinking, memory, or understanding
- People who have major tissue damage or wounds
- People who are experiencing severe pain
- People who are unable to read and understand questionnaires written in Swedish
