Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), confirmed by a blood test showing elevated enzyme levels AND either stomach pain consistent with pancreatitis or medical imaging showing signs of pancreatitis.
- You have received a chemotherapy drug called asparaginase within the last 49 days.
- You have been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma, are under 22 years old, and are currently receiving treatment with the goal of curing the disease.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a previous episode of pancreatitis before this one.
- Your heart's electrical activity (measured by an ECG) shows a reading called QTc above 450 milliseconds at the start of the trial.
- Your kidney function or liver function blood test results are significantly above the normal range for your age, unless this is caused by the leukemia itself or a specific blood condition called hemolysis.
- You have taken part in another experimental drug trial within the last 7 days.
- You have a known allergy to eggs, or an allergy to any ingredient in the study drug called CM4620.
- You are pregnant, have a positive pregnancy test, or are currently breastfeeding; if you could potentially become pregnant, you must agree to use effective birth control for at least 12 months after finishing the treatment (this applies to both males and females who could father or carry a child).
- You or your parent/legal guardian are unable or unwilling to sign the official consent form for the study.
