Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have had an acute ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel) involving a blockage in one of the major blood vessels supplying the front part of the brain, and who were assessed as suitable for a procedure to mechanically remove the clot
  • People whose blood flow was not sufficiently restored after the clot-removal procedure (based on a medical scoring system used during the procedure)

  • People who required more than three passes of the clot-removal device during the procedure

  • People with blood clotting disorders, a general tendency to bleed, or a low platelet count (below 100,000 per mm³)
  • People with serious liver or kidney problems, including significantly elevated liver enzymes or creatinine levels, or those who require dialysis
  • People with severely uncontrolled high blood pressure (top number above 200 mmHg or bottom number above 110 mmHg)
  • People with a known allergy to any of the medications being used in this trial
  • People considered unsuitable for the trial based on the researcher's assessment (confirm with trial site)
