Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy), specifically the type called adenocarcinoma
  • Your prostate cancer is considered "high-risk," meaning at least one of the following applies: the cancer has grown beyond the prostate (T3), your Gleason score (a measure of how aggressive the cancer looks) is between 8 and 10, OR your PSA level (a protein measured in your blood) is above 20 ng/mL
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have previously had radiotherapy (radiation treatment) to your pelvic area
  • You have a medical condition that makes it unsafe for you to have radiation treatment to the prostate, such as a connective tissue disease or inflammatory bowel disease
  • You have a reason why you cannot have an MRI scan of the prostate (for example, certain metal implants)
  • Your cancer has not reached a stage called "castrate resistance" — in simple terms, your PSA level must not have risen while your testosterone is already being kept at a very low level by treatment (confirm with trial site)
  • Scans or other tests have shown that the cancer has clearly spread to lymph nodes outside the pelvis or to other parts of the body
