Who might be able to join this trial:
- Men and women between 18 and 45 years old
- People who speak French as their first language
- People who have normal vision, or vision that is fully corrected with glasses or contact lenses
- People who have completed at least 8 years of education
- People who have agreed to take part and signed a consent form
- For the healthy volunteer group: people with no personal history of a diagnosed mental health condition, and no close family members (parents, siblings, or children) diagnosed with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
- For the schizophrenia patient group: people who have received a formal diagnosis of schizophrenia based on recognised diagnostic standards (DSM-5)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who do not agree to take part in the study
- People with a history of hearing problems
- People who are unable to read
- People who have a neurological condition or significant physical health condition
- People who are under a legal guardianship or protective supervision arrangement (such as tutorship or curatorship)
