Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are older than 20 years of age at the time of giving consent to participate.
- People who either have a breast tumor that has not yet been confirmed by testing, or have been confirmed through tissue testing to have invasive breast cancer.
- People whose breast tumor measures at least 1 cm based on scans or other objective evidence.
- People who are able to take part in the study procedures, which include providing medical information, a blood sample, a fresh tumor tissue sample, and 12 sections of tumor tissue preserved in paraffin.
- People who are able to sign a consent form to participate in the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been confirmed through tissue testing to have ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which is a specific type of non-invasive breast condition.
- People with early to locally advanced breast cancer (Stage I, II, or III) who have already received treatments before surgery, such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or targeted therapy.
- People with advanced or spread breast cancer (Stage IV or metastatic) who have already received chemotherapy.
