Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are over 18 years of age and are willing and able to give informed consent to participate.
- People who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and who are already scheduled to have a prostate biopsy as part of their normal medical care — this includes people with a raised PSA level and no previous biopsy, as well as those with a raised PSA level and a previous biopsy that came back clear.
- People who have previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer and are currently being monitored through active surveillance (watchful waiting), and who are already scheduled to have a biopsy as part of their normal medical care.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a medical reason why they cannot have an MRI scan — this includes those with certain metal implants in their body, such as a pacemaker or a heart device called an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, or a cochlear (hearing) implant.
- People who experience severe claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) that cannot be managed with medication, making it impossible to undergo an MRI scan.
- People who are unable to lie flat and still for more than one hour.
- People who have previously had surgery on the prostate to treat prostate cancer, such as removal of the prostate or a procedure to destroy part of it.

Area under the curve (AUC) comparison from biopsy and DBSI; Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) comparison from biopsy to DBSI; Prostate sector analysis as measured by comparison of the highest Gleason score from each of the 10 biopsy sectors to the DBSI predicted pathology from each sector
