- You are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You have Crohn's disease that causes narrowing or tunneling complications in the gut, and you need surgery to remove part of your small or large intestine (the ileum or ileocecal area)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant
- You have an active infection, a pocket of infection (abscess), or an abnormal tunnel between organs (fistula) at the time of your first camera examination of the bowel (colonoscopy)
- Your doctors expect you to live less than 1 year
- You are unable to read or sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You are currently taking antibiotics or probiotic supplements at the time of your first bowel camera examination (colonoscopy)
