Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer
  • People who have had a lumpectomy (removal of part of the breast) or mastectomy (removal of the whole breast) on the affected side, along with a sentinel lymph node biopsy, with or without further lymph node removal
  • People who have received radiation therapy, with or without chemotherapy
  • People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer-related lymphedema (swelling caused by a build-up of fluid after breast cancer treatment), at stage 1 or above according to international lymphedema guidelines
  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who are able to follow the study procedures as required
  • People who are able to give written consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose breast cancer has spread to other parts of the body
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who have had a previous surgery or injury to the arm on the affected side
  • People who have had an infection in the arm within the past 3 months
  • People who have been taking medications that affect fluid levels in the body (such as water tablets) within the past 3 months
  • People who have a severe psychological condition or dementia
  • People who have any other unstable health condition that the trial doctor considers may affect their safety or ability to take part in the study (confirm with trial site)
