Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer
- People who have had a lumpectomy (removal of part of the breast) or mastectomy (removal of the whole breast) on the affected side, along with a sentinel lymph node biopsy, with or without further lymph node removal
- People who have received radiation therapy, with or without chemotherapy
- People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer-related lymphedema (swelling caused by a build-up of fluid after breast cancer treatment), at stage 1 or above according to international lymphedema guidelines
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who are able to follow the study procedures as required
- People who are able to give written consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose breast cancer has spread to other parts of the body
- People who are pregnant
- People who have had a previous surgery or injury to the arm on the affected side
- People who have had an infection in the arm within the past 3 months
- People who have been taking medications that affect fluid levels in the body (such as water tablets) within the past 3 months
- People who have a severe psychological condition or dementia
- People who have any other unstable health condition that the trial doctor considers may affect their safety or ability to take part in the study (confirm with trial site)
