Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Men aged 18 or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer (specifically a type called adenocarcinoma, confirmed by a tissue test)
  • People who fall into one of two groups:
    • Group 1: People with high-risk prostate cancer (based on a PSA score above 10, a Gleason score of 8–10, or a cancer stage higher than T2c) who are planned to have surgery to remove the prostate or radiation therapy
    • Group 2: People whose prostate cancer has shown signs of returning after treatment, based on rising PSA levels (above 0.2 ng/ml after surgery, or risen by 2 ng/ml or more above the lowest PSA level recorded after radiation therapy), and whose standard scans (CT scan and bone scan) taken within the past 3 months show no signs of cancer spread

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with any health condition or abnormality that the trial doctor believes could affect their safety or the reliability of the trial results
  • People who are unable to have a PET/CT scan due to weight — PET/CT scanners may not be able to operate for people weighing over 450 pounds (approximately 204 kg)
  • People who have changed their treatment since their most recent standard-of-care scans were taken
