Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had ulcerative colitis for at least 6 months
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who are starting treatment with one of the following medications: infliximab, adalimumab, golimumab, vedolizumab, or tofacitinib
- People who are willing and able to provide written consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People taking blood pressure, blood-thinning, or cholesterol-lowering medications whose dose has not been stable for at least 3 months before the trial and throughout the study period
- People who have previously had a heart attack or stroke
- People who have diabetes
- People who are pregnant
- People under 18 years of age
- People who are not able to give their own consent to take part
