Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration (a condition affecting central vision) and are aged 60 or older, or people who have been diagnosed with juvenile macular degeneration and are currently aged 18 or older.

• People who have had eye surgery or injections into the eye during the study period, unless: the injections have been ongoing continuously for at least 1 year; or the injections stopped at least 2 months before joining; or the injections were only in the eye that is not being tested.
• People who have another eye condition — beyond macular degeneration — that could significantly reduce central vision (for example, a more advanced cataract may be a concern, while a mild cataract may be acceptable).
• People with severe hearing impairment.
• People who have medical reasons that would make brain stimulation unsafe for them (confirm with trial site for details).
