Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are over 18 years old
- People who have been prescribed omalizumab (OMA) by a lung specialist (pulmonologist) for severe allergic asthma for at least 33 months
- People whose asthma is well controlled on their current treatment, shown by a score of 18 or higher on the Asthma Control Test (ACT), and who have had no more than one asthma flare-up in the year before joining the trial (a flare-up means needing steroid tablets or injections for at least 2 days, or doubling the usual steroid dose for at least 2 days)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are not willing to stop omalizumab treatment for any reason
- People who need to stop omalizumab for a reason other than good asthma control — for example, due to a side effect, pregnancy (current or planned), or a planned switch to a different advanced asthma treatment
- People who are not covered by health insurance
- People who are under a legal protection arrangement such as curatorship, guardianship, or safeguarding of justice
- People whose treating doctor has concerns about whether they reliably take their asthma medications as directed
- People who are already taking part in another clinical research study involving an intervention
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are not willing to sign a consent form to participate
