Who might be able to join this trial:
- You still have your uterus and have not had uterine ablation, tubal ligation, or both fallopian tubes removed
- Group 1: Women who are scheduled for surgery or a keyhole diagnostic procedure because doctors suspect (but have not yet confirmed) ovarian or fallopian tube cancer
- Group 2: Women who are known carriers of a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation and are scheduled for surgery to remove their ovaries and fallopian tubes as a preventive measure
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already received a confirmed cancer diagnosis from a recent tissue or cell sample test
- You are unable to give informed consent to take part in the study
- You are under 30 years of age
- Doctors are unable to collect the minimum required amount of blood from you
- Doctors are unable to collect the minimum required amount of uterine lavage (a fluid sample from the womb) from you
- Having blood drawn would put you at risk, for example if you have a bleeding disorder like haemophilia or severe anaemia
- You have a previous history of ovarian or womb (endometrial) cancer
- You have been treated within the last year for a cancer that had spread from where it originally started (hormonal therapy does not count)
- You have a history of untreated severe cervical cell changes (CIN3)
- You have a history of treated severe cervical cell changes (CIN3) and had an abnormal cervical smear test in the past year (confirm with trial site for details on pre-surgery smear testing)
- You are currently pregnant
- You have a known inherited condition called Lynch syndrome

Genomic biomarkers assessing mutations and methylation of tumor DNA, and protein biomarkers measured as the concentration of a protein in pg/mL, both types of biomarkers measured in the collected biospecimens.
