Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman who has gone through menopause (your periods stopped at least 1 year ago, or a blood test confirms this)
- You have been diagnosed with stage 2 or 3 breast cancer that is hormone-receptor positive (confirmed by a tissue test)
- You have been taking the medication letrozole for at least 1 month
- You are experiencing ongoing joint or muscle pain or stiffness that started or got worse after you began taking letrozole

- You have already finished all planned surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment
- You are willing to take prescribed Chinese herbal medicine as part of the trial

- You are able to attend all follow-up appointments for the full length of the study
- You have not had any sudden new illness in the past month
- You are able to communicate with the study team
- You are willing to give your written agreement to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or could become pregnant and are not using a reliable form of contraception
- You have missed appointments or have an irregular history of attending follow-up visits
- You are currently taking part in another clinical study at the same time
- You have a history of not following medical instructions or are unwilling to follow the study plan
- You are bedridden or your cancer has spread to your bones or lungs
- You currently have an infection that requires antibiotics given through a drip (intravenously)
- You have a known allergy to Chinese herbal medicine
- You have previously used Chinese herbal medicine specifically to treat joint or muscle symptoms caused by your breast cancer medication
- You have taken any Chinese herbal medicine within the month before joining the study
- You have used steroids or strong painkillers (narcotics) for pain relief in the past 2 weeks
- You have a new flare-up of a long-term illness or have had any sudden illness in the past month
- You have certain serious health conditions, including poorly controlled high blood pressure, underactive thyroid, diabetes, liver disease, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, nerve-related joint problems, autoimmune or inflammatory joint conditions, a recent bone fracture, or a history of stroke (confirm with trial site)
