Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a confirmed genetic diagnosis of a primary immune deficiency (a condition where the immune system does not work properly due to a gene change)
- People who have a gene change that may affect immune function, or who have a history of infections that are unusually frequent, long-lasting, or severe compared to what is typical
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with psoriasis (a skin condition causing scaly, inflamed patches)
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with atopic dermatitis (a chronic itchy skin condition, also known as eczema)
- Healthy volunteers who have no known immune deficiency, psoriasis, or eczema
- People aged 18 to 75 years
- People who are willing to allow their blood, tissue biopsy, and other collected samples to be stored for future research
- People who are able to give their own informed consent to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently taking, or have taken in the past 3 months, blood-thinning or anti-clotting medications (not including aspirin or common anti-inflammatory pain relievers such as ibuprofen)
- People who are currently taking, or have taken in the past 3 months, medications that affect the immune system (such as chemotherapy or steroids), unless the lead researcher has specifically approved this
- People who have a history of forming keloid scars (thick, raised scar tissue that grows beyond the original wound)
- People who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or lactating
- People who have any other condition that the investigator believes would make participation unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
