Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are at least 12 years old (or at least 18 years old for a specific group called Cohort B1)
- People who have been diagnosed with one of the following: advanced or metastatic pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (tumours of the adrenal gland or nearby nerve tissue), pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease-related localised tumours, advanced wild-type gastrointestinal stromal tumours, or advanced solid tumours with a specific genetic change related to a protein called HIF-2α
- For the specific Cohort B1 group: people who have been diagnosed with VHL disease confirmed by genetic testing and/or a clinical diagnosis, and who are at least 18 years old
- People who are expected to live for at least 3 months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to swallow tablets or capsules, or who have a condition that could affect how the study drug (belzutifan) is absorbed by the body
- People who have had a second type of cancer, unless they have completed treatment that was intended to cure it and have shown no signs of cancer for at least 2 years
- People whose blood oxygen level reads below 92% while at rest, or who need occasional or ongoing supplemental oxygen
- People with serious heart conditions, including unstable chest pain, a recent heart attack, heart bypass surgery, or a heart procedure to open blocked arteries within the past 6 months, or those with severe heart failure (confirm with trial site for exact classification)
- People who have received certain cancer treatments — such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, biological therapies, or other experimental treatments — within the 4 weeks before starting the study (note: a medication type called somatostatin analogues is not included in this restriction)
