Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have had a minor stroke or a TIA (sometimes called a "mini-stroke") and do not need rehabilitation after leaving hospital, but could benefit from physical activity to help protect your heart and blood vessels
- You currently spend 5 hours or less per week doing intense physical activity in your free time, and this has been the case for the last 3 months
- You are able to speak and read Danish and can agree to take part in the study
- You are 18 years of age or older
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously had a major stroke affecting a large blood vessel in the brain, or a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain
- You have an unstable heart condition, for example if you have a pacemaker
- You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled, even when taking blood pressure medication as directed
- You have symptoms or other health conditions that would prevent you from using a stationary exercise bike (for example, severe leg pain when walking)
- You experience breathlessness due to a heart or lung condition (for example, a lung disease such as COPD)
- You have difficulties with speech, language, or memory that would make it hard for you to understand the study procedures or take part in physical assessments
- You were diagnosed with dementia when you were admitted to hospital, based on a specific memory and thinking test score (confirm with trial site)
