Who might be able to join this trial:
- The patient or their caregiver has given approval to participate
- A stroke (either caused by a blocked blood vessel or by bleeding in the brain) has been confirmed using a brain scan such as a CT or MRI
- At least one muscle in the upper arm or hand is significantly stiff or tight, scoring 3 or higher on a standard stiffness scale
- A doctor has identified the person as a candidate for Botulinum Toxin A (BTX-A) injections, or BTX-A injections have been given in the past
- The person is able to follow a goal-setting program, shown by a memory and thinking test score of 24 or above (or a caregiver is able to assist with this)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have difficulty understanding or producing speech due to their stroke, unless a caregiver is present throughout
- People who have other nerve, brain, or muscle and joint conditions that could affect the results of the treatment
