Who might be able to join this trial:
- Babies whose corrected age (counting from their original due date) is between full-term birth age and 24 months old at the time of joining the study
- Babies who have had a confirmed brain injury shown on a scan, such as a stroke around the time of birth, bleeding in the brain, or oxygen deprivation to the brain (HIE), where the injury affects the movement-controlling areas of the brain
- The baby's parent or legal guardian speaks English and is able to give consent for the baby to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- Babies who have a neurological (brain or nervous system) condition that is not related to stroke, brain bleed, or oxygen deprivation around the time of birth
- Babies who have a metabolic disorder (a condition affecting how the body processes substances)
- Babies who have a condition affecting how brain cells formed or moved during development (confirm with trial site)
- Babies who have had a traumatic brain injury caused by an accident or physical event after birth
