Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who show signs of a "prodromal" (early warning) phase of psychosis, meaning they experience at least one of the following: mild or partial psychotic symptoms (such as unusual thoughts or perceptions), brief episodes of psychotic symptoms that go away on their own, or a family history of psychosis combined with a noticeable decline in functioning.
- People who still have significant symptoms — scoring at least 20 points on a standard symptom rating scale — after completing a 6-week health-promotion program at the start of the study.
- People who are either currently taking antipsychotic medication (and have been on a stable, unchanged dose for at least 4 weeks before the study begins), or people who have not taken antipsychotic medication for at least 12 weeks (and would not take it during the study period).
- People who are willing to take part and sign a written consent form after being fully informed about the study. For participants under 20 years old, a parent or guardian must also provide written consent.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a diagnosed condition including intellectual disability, alcohol or substance use disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, schizophreniform disorder, or psychosis caused by a substance, medication, or another medical condition (as defined by the DSM-5 diagnostic system).
- People with a history of epilepsy, significant head injury, stroke, or other serious medical or neurological conditions that could affect the study results.
- People whose routine blood or laboratory test results show clinically significant abnormalities (confirm with trial site).
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- People who would be unable to follow the study procedures as required.
