Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older.
- People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer confirmed by a tissue biopsy, where the cancer is either HER2-positive or triple-negative (meaning the cancer tests negative for two hormone receptors called ER and PR, and also negative for HER2) — as determined by standard laboratory testing guidelines.
- People whose cancer is an early Stage 1 tumour, where the tumour measures between 6mm and 20mm, with either no cancer spread to nearby lymph nodes or only a very small amount of spread (called micrometastasis) — specific tumour and lymph node combinations apply (confirm with trial site).
- People who sign up before their surgery (preferred) or within 2 weeks after surgery — with the possibility of extending to 4 weeks after surgery in some cases.

- People who are able to give informed consent and are willing to take part in study procedures, including blood tests and follow-up appointments over five years.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (metastatic disease).
- People who have invasive cancer in more than one separate area of the breast (multifocal cancer).
- People who have been diagnosed with another type of cancer within the last 5 years — except for certain skin cancers that have been fully removed, or a pre-cancerous cervical condition called cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
- People who have already received any treatment for their current breast cancer, such as chemotherapy before surgery — though having surgery itself is acceptable for those enrolling after their operation.
- People with a known diagnosis of HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
