Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 40 years old
- You have been diagnosed with a schizophrenia-related mental health condition (as defined by standard psychiatric guidelines)
- Your psychosis symptoms or treatment began less than three years ago
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with an intellectual developmental disorder
- You have had a significant head injury
- You have a medical condition that affects how your brain is structured or works
- You have a significant neurological condition, such as a seizure disorder
- You or a close family member has a history of epilepsy
- You are not able to give informed consent to take part in the study
- You have had a concussion where you lost consciousness for more than 10 minutes
- You have previously had electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a treatment that uses electrical currents on the brain
- You have diabetes that has caused seizures, loss of feeling or weakness in your arms or legs, or brief episodes of losing consciousness
- You are currently pregnant or gave birth or had a miscarriage within the last 6 weeks (based on what you report)
- Your psychotic symptoms appear to be directly related to substance use or a head injury
- You have now or have ever had a serious dependence on alcohol or any mind-altering substances
- You have misused substances other than cannabis or alcohol in the past year
