Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (a type of high blood pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots) according to current European medical guidelines
- People whose medical team has determined they are suitable candidates for both surgical treatment (pulmonary endarterectomy) and a non-surgical procedure (balloon pulmonary angioplasty) to treat their condition

- People who are able to understand instructions and commit to participating throughout the full study period
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose life expectancy is less than 12 months
- People whose medical team has determined that other health conditions are significantly contributing to their pulmonary hypertension
- People for whom it would not be possible to perform either treatment procedure within 4 months of being enrolled in the trial
- People whose medical team has determined that changes to their current pulmonary hypertension medications between the start of the trial and the 4-month follow-up would be unavoidable (confirm with trial site)
- People who are known to be pregnant, or women of childbearing age who test positive on a pregnancy screening test
- People who have previously had either of the two treatment procedures being studied in this trial
