Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older.
  • People who have been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called CLL or SLL (confirmed by laboratory testing), and who have measurable signs of the disease, such as enlarged lymph nodes or an enlarged spleen.
  • People whose doctors estimate they are likely to live for at least 12 weeks.
  • People whose CLL/SLL has come back, stopped responding to, or could not be tolerated with certain treatments called BTK inhibitors or immunochemotherapy — or whose first treatment with a BTK inhibitor has not worked and for whom immunochemotherapy is not considered appropriate.
  • People with a general health and activity level that falls within a moderate range, as measured by a standard medical scoring system called the ECOG scale (scores 0 to 2) (confirm with trial site).
  • People who are willing and able to sign a consent form approved by an ethics committee before any trial-related procedures begin.
  • People who are willing and able to follow the trial's schedule of visits and check-ups.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have had a stem cell transplant from a donor, or a transplant using their own stem cells, within the past 24 months, or who have previously received a type of immune cell therapy called adoptive cell immunotherapy.
  • People who have not fully recovered from a recent operation — specifically, those who have had major surgery within the past 28 days or minor surgery within the past 14 days before joining the trial.
  • People who have previously been treated with a type of medicine called a Bcl-2 inhibitor.
  • People whose CLL/SLL has transformed into a more aggressive type of lymphoma, or where the cancer has spread to the brain or spinal cord.
  • People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or who are planning to become pregnant during the trial or within 3 months after the last dose of treatment.
  • People who have had another active cancer (other than CLL/SLL) within the past 2 years — with some exceptions, including fully treated early-stage cervical cancer, completely removed skin cancers of certain types, or previously cured cancers that were fully treated (confirm with trial site).
  • People who, in the treating doctor's judgement, have any other condition or circumstance that would make participation in the trial unsafe or unsuitable.
