  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who have been formally diagnosed with COPD (a chronic lung condition) according to recognised medical guidelines

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with a physical or intellectual condition that would make it difficult to understand the study or follow its procedures
  • People who do not speak German, as this would prevent proper consent from being given
  • People who have had a sudden worsening of their COPD symptoms within the last 6 weeks
  • People who experience pain of any kind during physical activity
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who have a history of blood clots in the legs or lower limbs
  • People whose resting blood pressure (the top number) is below 100 mmHg
