Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer (cancer of the uterus lining, cervix, ovaries, or vulva) or breast cancer
- People who are currently receiving a chemotherapy treatment known as (Carbo)-Taxol
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who are able to follow the requirements of the study protocol
- People who are able to give written consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic disease)
- People who are pregnant
- People who currently have an active infection on their scalp
- People who have previously been diagnosed with a hair loss condition
- People whose chemotherapy has been interrupted for more than two treatment cycles in a row
- People who are using medication to encourage hair growth, such as Minoxidil
- People who have a severe psychological disorder or dementia
- People who are not able to speak and understand Dutch
- People whose substance use, or medical, psychological, or social circumstances may affect their ability to take part in the study or affect the results, as determined by the investigator
- People who have any unstable condition that the investigator considers could affect their safety or ability to follow the study requirements
