Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who are already being seen at the high-risk clinic at OSUCCC-James, including those with a family history of breast cancer, a known gene change that increases breast cancer risk, a personal history of certain abnormal breast cell findings (called atypia or lobular carcinoma in situ), or a history of radiation treatment to the chest area
  • People at high risk for breast cancer who are being seen in the surgical oncology clinic at Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center, and who have been diagnosed with one of the following: atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH), atypical lobular hyperplasia (ALH), lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS), sclerosing adenosis (SA), or radial scars (RS) — these are specific findings that doctors sometimes discover during breast biopsies (confirm with trial site if unsure which category applies)
  • People who are able to read and understand English
  • People who are able to give their informed agreement to take part in the study
  • People who agree to allow the study team to continue reviewing their medical records throughout the study period

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently incarcerated (in prison)
  • People who are not able to speak and understand English
  • People who have a personal history of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive breast cancer
