Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a medical reason why a thin feeding tube cannot be passed through your nose (confirm with trial site)
  • You have an unstable heart or breathing condition that makes it unsafe to have a nasal feeding tube inserted
  • You have a pacemaker fitted
  • You have an implanted heart device that delivers electric shocks to correct heart rhythm (implanted defibrillator/ICD)
  • You are currently pregnant
  • You are currently breastfeeding
