Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged between 18 and 75 years old (inclusive)
  • People diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) where the disease has come back or worsened in the central nervous system (brain or spinal cord), confirmed by scans and/or tissue or fluid testing
  • People with secondary central nervous system lymphoma (cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord from elsewhere) may also be eligible if the disease in the rest of the body is well controlled

  • Women who could become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test within 7 days before joining, and must use appropriate contraception during the trial and for six months after it ends
  • People who are willing to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with secondary central nervous system lymphoma where the disease in the rest of the body is not well controlled
  • People who have previously been treated with pemetrexed or orelabrutinib (specific medicines)
  • People who currently have another active cancer requiring treatment at the same time
  • People with a history of another type of cancer (confirm with trial site regarding exceptions)
  • People who have had major surgery or a serious injury within the past two weeks
  • People with currently active tuberculosis
  • People currently receiving treatment for a serious ongoing or acute infection
  • People with heart failure, uncontrolled coronary artery disease, irregular heart rhythms, or who have had a heart attack within the past 6 months
  • People who are HIV-positive, have AIDS, or have active hepatitis that has not been treated
  • People who have had a blood clot in a deep vein or in the lungs within the past 12 months
  • People with a history of mental illness or substance abuse
  • People who are unlikely to be able to follow the trial's requirements during treatment or follow-up
  • People who are known to be allergic to any ingredients in the trial medicines, including mouse-derived products or other proteins used in their production
  • People the trial doctor determines are not suitable to participate for any other reason
