  • People who have osteoarthritis in one hip (not both) and are scheduled to have a total hip replacement surgery.
  • People who are able to understand and write in Swedish.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have problems with their other hip or either knee that cause them to limp.
  • People who have a disease that affects their nerves or muscles.
  • People whose legs end up being more than 1 cm different in length after surgery.
  • People whose hip bone positioning (called femoral offset) on the operated side differs by more than 25% from the other hip after surgery (confirm with trial site).
