Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have experienced at least some weakness on one side of their body (including one leg) following a brain injury such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury
- People who speak French
- People who are enrolled in the French social insurance system
- People who had no previous brain injuries from trauma, blood vessel problems, or degenerative conditions before their current injury
- People who had or currently have some degree of movement difficulty in one of their legs
- People who were unable to walk independently when they entered the rehabilitation department
- People who are in the sub-acute phase of recovery, meaning between 15 days and 6 months after their brain injury occurred
- People who have only mild to moderate cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulties that still allow them to understand instructions and give informed consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe cognitive (thinking or memory) difficulties
- People who are under a court order, guardianship, or legal protection arrangement that affects their ability to make decisions
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who are outpatients and do not have at least weekly appointments at the rehabilitation department
