Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have not yet gone through puberty
- You are about to have surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation treatment that could affect your ability to have children in the future, which includes any of the following:
- You need surgery to remove all or part of one or both ovaries due to a health condition or cancer
- You will receive radiation to the whole abdomen or pelvis at a high enough dose (at least 10 Gy if you have started puberty, or at least 15 Gy if you have not)
- You will receive whole-body radiation treatment
- You will receive a high cumulative dose of certain chemotherapy drugs, including cyclophosphamide, procarbazine, or busulfan
- You will receive chemotherapy to prepare your body for a stem cell transplant
- You will receive a combination of certain chemotherapy drugs alongside radiation
- You will receive brain radiation at 30 Gy or higher
- Your overall chemotherapy drug exposure reaches a certain high level based on scoring systems used by doctors (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are not expected to receive any cancer treatments
- You have already gone through puberty
- You are pregnant
- You only have one ovary
- Doctors believe you are at high risk of complications from surgery
- You are unable to give your agreement to take part due to significant mental health or cognitive challenges
