Who might be able to join this trial:
For patients:
- You must be 18 years old or older
- You must have been diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease)
- You must already be receiving regular check-ups every 3 months at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Division of Neurophysiology
- You must be able to visit the study location in person every 3 months
For family members (relatives):
- You must be 18 years old or older

For patients:
- You may not be eligible if you have another illness or condition (separate from ALS) that affects your ability to swallow
- You may not be eligible if you are showing significant signs of memory loss or dementia at the time of joining, as assessed by the study neurologist

- You may not be eligible if you are showing signs of possible memory loss or dementia at the time of joining
