Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman between the ages of 30 and 60
- You have had breast surgery within the last 2 years
- You have not received any physical therapy or rehabilitation treatment for your shoulder in the last 6 months
- You have limited movement in your shoulder as a result of your breast surgery
Who may not be able to join:
- You have not agreed to take part in the study
- You have had a full (radical) mastectomy, which removes the entire breast along with surrounding tissue
- You have a connective tissue disease (a condition affecting the tissues that support and connect parts of the body — confirm with trial site)
- You have weakness or loss of movement in your arm caused by nerve damage near the shoulder (brachial plexus injury — confirm with trial site)
- You have scarring or hardening of tissue caused by radiation treatment (confirm with trial site)
- You have other bone, nerve, or joint conditions that affect how your arm or shoulder works, such as scoliosis, multiple sclerosis, stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, or similar conditions
- You have cancer that has spread (active metastases) to other parts of your body
- You have had breast reconstruction surgery
- You are currently receiving radiotherapy (it must have ended at least 3 months ago) or are still undergoing chemotherapy
- You have had surgery on both breasts (bilateral mastectomy)
- You have developed swelling in your arm or chest area caused by fluid build-up (lymphedema)
- You are currently taking muscle relaxant medications
- You are experiencing severe side effects from chemotherapy, such as increased skin sensitivity, nausea, skin changes, or significant weakness
