Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman aged 18 or older
- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer (any stage from I to IV)
- You are currently taking hormone-blocking medication for breast cancer, such as tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors, with or without medication to suppress ovary function
- You have noticed hair loss that started after you began taking your hormone-blocking medication
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are currently receiving chemotherapy, or have had chemotherapy within the last 2 years
- You have a history of a specific type of permanent scarring hair loss condition, or a condition called alopecia areata (confirm with trial site)
- You have previously used minoxidil in pill or cream/liquid form (the medication being studied)
- You are currently using or have previously used a medication called spironolactone
- You have a known allergy or sensitivity to minoxidil
- You have an untreated underactive thyroid or untreated low iron levels — blood tests may be needed to check this at the time of joining if you have not had them done in the past 12 months
