Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with a type of mild memory and thinking problem called mild cognitive impairment (the "amnestic" type)
• You either have a history of a mild traumatic brain injury (such as a concussion) OR you have no such history — both groups may be included
• Both women and men can take part
• People of all racial and ethnic backgrounds are welcome
• You are 55 years of age or older
• You can speak and understand English fluently

Who may not be able to join:

• You had a mild traumatic brain injury (such as a concussion) within the past year
• You have ever had a moderate or severe brain injury at any point in your life
• You have ever been diagnosed with a major brain or nervous system condition, such as a stroke, epilepsy, or a brain tumor
• You have ever had a major heart condition, such as a heart attack or heart failure
• You are currently struggling with a substance use disorder (for example, alcohol or drug dependency)
• You currently have a major mental health condition, such as severe depression or bipolar disorder
• You currently have vision or hearing problems that would make it difficult to complete the study tests
• You have any metal or electronic implants in your skull or brain (for example, certain types of medical devices)
• You are currently taking medication known to affect how the brain responds to a specific type of mild electrical brain stimulation used in this study (confirm with trial site)
