Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People diagnosed with a specific type of pulmonary arterial hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) that is either idiopathic (no known cause), inherited, linked to a connective tissue disease, or caused by a drug or toxin, as defined by World Health Organization guidelines
- People whose PAH medications have remained stable for at least three months before joining (minor dose changes for side effects or fluid management are acceptable)
- People whose PAH falls within World Health Organization Functional Class I, II, or III (confirm with trial site for what this means for your situation)
- People who are able to move around independently (ambulatory)
- People who are able to undergo MRI/MRS scans, complete a six-minute walk distance test, and complete a cardiopulmonary exercise test
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant
- People whose PAH is caused by something other than the specific types listed above
- People whose heart failure has reached World Health Organization Functional Class IV (the most severe level)
- People who require continuous oxygen supply
- People who are unable to undergo MRI/MRS scans or complete the required physical tests
- People who have metal implants or embedded ferromagnetic material in their body that would interfere with a cardiac MRI scan

Change in Right Ventricular (RV) Ejection Fraction; Change in Right Ventricular (RV) Lipid Content; Identification of metabolic markers (dihyroxybutyrate, acetylputriscene, hydroxystearate and glucuronate) in the peripheral circulation and coronary sinus.; Ratio of BMPR2 isoform B/A.; Change in skeletal muscle lipid content.
