Who might be able to join this trial:

For Aim 1 of the study:

  • People who are biologically female
  • People who identify as Latina
  • People who have at least one genetic risk factor, such as a personal history of breast cancer or a family history of breast or ovarian cancer
  • People who have at least one social or economic risk factor, such as financial struggles, difficulty with transportation, exposure to violence, housing challenges, or feeling socially isolated (as defined by the American Cancer Society)
  • People who are 30 years old or older
  • People who have never received cancer genetic counseling and have never had genetic testing

For Aim 2 of the study:

  • People who are biologically female
  • People referred by a participant from Aim 1 of the study
  • People for whom breast cancer screenings are considered appropriate based on American Cancer Society guidelines (for example, women aged 40–44 where annual screening is optional, ages 45–54 where annual screening is recommended, or ages 55 and older where screening every other year is recommended)
  • People who self-report that they did not attend a specific session (Session 3) of the study

For Aim 3 of the study:

  • People who participated in Aim 1 or Aim 2 of the study

Who may not be able to join:

For Aims 1 and 2:

  • People who do not meet at least one of the inclusion criteria listed above for their respective aim

For Aim 3:

  • People who did not participate in either Aim 1 or Aim 2 of the study
