  • People who have had a lower limb injury or surgery within the last two years
  • People who already have an artificial hip or ankle joint in either leg
  • People who are unable to have an MRI scan, for example due to having a pacemaker, heart defibrillator, cochlear implant, or certain metal objects in the body
  • People who are unable to have a bone density scan (DXA), for example due to having certain heart devices, a pacemaker, an insulin pump, a BMI over 35, or a body weight over 200kg
  • People who are under legal guardianship or a similar court-ordered protection measure
  • People who are not enrolled in a social security or health insurance system
  • People who have not provided written informed consent to participate
