  • People who have taken anti-inflammatory pain medications (such as ibuprofen) in the 3 days before the blood draw
  • People with heart or cardiovascular conditions for whom having 300 ml of blood taken would not be safe
  • People whose recent blood test shows haemoglobin below 11 g/dl or platelets below 150,000 per mm³
  • People who test positive for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV
  • People who are pregnant or are women of childbearing potential (confirm with trial site)
  • People whose hip pain is rated lower than 4 or higher than 8 out of 10 on the pain scale
  • People who have other specific hip conditions, such as severe joint deformity, abnormal bone structure, collapse of the joint, or hip problems resulting from a childhood bone disease or bone tissue death
  • People who have previously had major hip surgery, such as bone-repositioning surgery or surgery to correct a hip impingement condition
