Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer (a specific type called adenocarcinoma) and are scheduled to receive external beam radiation therapy, possibly with or without hormone therapy, at the Wilmot Cancer Institute Department of Radiation Oncology

  • Your blood counts (red blood cells and platelets) and liver function are at acceptable levels, based on tests taken within 90 days before joining, without needing recent transfusions or boosting medications
  • Your resting blood pressure reading (the top number) is above 130

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have previously had radiation therapy to the pelvic area
  • You are currently taking or have taken lisinopril or a similar blood pressure/heart medication within the past two months (confirm with trial site)
  • You have previously had an allergic reaction to lisinopril
