Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 16 and 50 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes
- You have an eating disorder involving binge eating and/or using insulin in harmful ways to control your weight (such as Bulimia Nervosa or related conditions) — this is for the main group of participants
- You manage your own diabetes day-to-day without relying on a caregiver to do it for you
- Alternatively, you may be eligible for an additional group in the trial if you are 16–50 with Type 1 diabetes and score 20 or above on a specific eating disorder questionnaire called the DEPR-R, even if you do not fully meet the criteria for the main group (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently having thoughts of suicide
- You have been diagnosed with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) or Anorexia Nervosa, or a related condition
- You are unable to feel the warning signs when your blood sugar is too low, and you have had three or more serious low blood sugar episodes in the last two years that required someone else to help you
- You currently have a substance use disorder, or you currently have or have previously had a psychotic disorder
- You do not speak English

Change in glycemic control as indexed by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM); Change in eating disorder symptoms as indexed by the Diabetes Eating Problems Survey-Revised (DEPS-R); Change in diabetes self-management as indexed by the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire; Change in glycemic control as indexed by hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)
