Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between the ages of 14 and 22
- People who are taking part in a structured refeeding program called the EWDP during the study period (this may include people with anorexia nervosa or a condition called avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder)
- People who need to gain at least 8 pounds during the refeeding period
- People who speak English
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant
- People with a gastrointestinal (digestive system) condition or diagnosis, such as Crohn's disease, diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, gastric bezoar, or a known or suspected blockage in the digestive tract
- People who have had surgery on their digestive system in the past 3 months
- People who have an implanted or portable electronic medical device, such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, or infusion pump
- People who are allergic to any ingredients in the study shake being provided
- People who use illegal substances, or who misuse, overuse, or are dependent on any such substances
- People assessed as being at acute risk of suicide or having active suicidal thoughts, as determined by a specific assessment tool called the C-SSRS (confirm with trial site for details on how this is assessed)
- People with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
